São Luiz do Paraitinga

Small town in the state of Sao Paulo, located in the Paraíba Valley, between the cities and Taubaté Ubatuba, about 180 km from the capital. Listed as a historical monument by the state CONDEPHAAT, former parade of troops, preserving traditions and the largest colonial architecture of the state, keeping the city with urban characteristics of the nineteenth and eighteenth centuries. Talking sounds so cold, like a professor giving a history lesson ... Only by going there to understand the fascination that St. Louis has on its visitors. This fascination goes beyond its well-preserved houses, runs through its streets of stone carved by slaves, by their religion, their musicianship, so well represented by Elpida dos Santos, the carnival marches, their customs and traditions as the festival of Knights, the Feast of the Divine, the Folias de Reis, the development of its myths, such as Saci which rises in the bamboo and appears on cold nights, their multi-colored houses, its hospitable people that prides itself on its way to being a yokel. The season in which he lived its glory days during the coffee and cotton are already going away, St. Louis has now, in tourism, their main source of income. The nature has been generous, and surrounded with beautiful landscapes, greenery, waterfalls and rivers cut their valleys, bringing another slice of tourism to the region: the Adventure Tourism and Ecotourism. Who likes adventure not to be missed S. Luiz. You're waiting to hear what? After all, even just going there to learn and I can assure you that you will have many stories to tell later ...
